Our man today, Azriel “Al” Blackman, joined American Airlines (AA) in 1942 when he was at the age of 16. He definitely knows a lot about aircrafts than anyone in the world! In his 75-year-long career, he had worked with VS-44 flying boats, DC-4, and of course 777! More surprisingly, he is still working for AA!

“When you enjoy what you do, it is not work anymore,” said Blackman. Though his shift started officially at 5am, he mostly arrived at 3am.
Starting as an apprentice at the age of 16, Blackman made his way up to the Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Crew Chief. He is currently stationed at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
To honor Blackman's loyalty and excellent performance, AA dedicated a Boeing 777 in the recognition of his hard work.
